About Honest101
Honest101 compares kitchen gear the way a careful shopper would: pick a handful of real options, put their published specifications side by side, and say plainly where each one fits. The comparison on this site covers five kitchen knives from five different makers.
Every specification we publish is tied to a source, and the source is named on the page. Where a maker documents one value and the retailer listing states another, we publish ONE decisive value and take the more authoritative source - the maker's own documentation - instead of leaving the reader with an unresolved conflict.
We do not run hands-on tests, and we do not pretend to. We publish no numeric editorial score and no ranking. Where a retailer publishes an aggregate customer rating we show it and attribute it to that retailer with the date we captured it; where we hold no sourced rating, we show nothing rather than a guess.
